I am excited to share the incredible journey that has resulted in a remarkable achievement. At Wowme, we were honored to be a part of a vast team of designers, engineers, and vendors collaborating on an exciting design project with the esteemed Canadian brand, Pela/Lomi. Today, I'm delighted to announce that the first and second generations of our partnership are now available for purchase online.
Our role within this extensive team was to provide concepts, designs, and manufacturable solutions for the external components of the device. In particular, we focused on the cover area where user interface meets technical requirements. Working closely with Pela/Lomi's team, our aim was to create a design that not only boasted visual appeal but also offered practicality and durability. Additionally, we played a crucial role in optimizing the product for manufacturing efficiency (DFM - Design for Manufacturing). This optimization allowed Pela/Lomi to produce these environmentally-conscious products cost-effectively, making them accessible to a wider audience.
The realm of CMF (Color, Material, and Finish) became a collaborative effort. We worked hand-in-hand with marketing and graphic design teams, jointly generating photorealistic images to identify the best color scheme for the future product. Our team meticulously selected a palette of colors, materials, and finishes that aligned perfectly with Pela/Lomi's brand identity. The outcome? Products that seamlessly combined form and function, all while embracing eco-friendly principles.
